UZGOOB bgz HmdB1 in .308
The UZGOOB is a one of a kind airgun. It stacks parts of the most famous airguns in the world. The Lothar Walter .308 barrel comes from a prototype Sinner, the breech comes from an early Beaumont, the stock is a walnut De Luxe Sporter stock from Custom Stocks in Sheffield Great Brittain, the maintube, safety and trigger are from a Daystate X2, the triggerguard is hand made bij GinB, the titanium bolt is handmade and is known to be ugly (and i do not agree with that, Dieter).
The scope is a 6-25X56 SF scope from BOS (Brandsma OpticS).
This a lengthy gun with its 28"barrel, it is capable of an energy of 221 fpe with a 150 grain .308 bullet at 220 bar.

I`m using 120 grain Lee bullets on a regular base, when i`m doing my best i can shoot a group of 1,25". I`m shooting the gun attached to my regulator. The UZGOOB is doing 220 fpe at 200 bar, at 165 bar the gun does around 180 fpe.
The triple calibre Daystate Bastard.
The triple calibre Daystate Bastard was a real bastard. It started as a Daystate X2, after a few days it became a cross between a X2 and a Harrier. The added Harrier part, the breech, came from a Harrier SE Black Edition i owned a few years earlier. It`s kinda funny to see some guns dropping by every now and then.
Below a picture of that particular Harrier. A nice and compact airgun!
Below a picture of that particular Harrier. A nice and compact airgun!
This Harrier was a double calibre airgun. Nice but i hardly got to use the .177 calibre. After a short while i sold this one. Some bloke wanted the Gary Cane stock for his Beaumont and i lost track of the gun.
Once upon a day i asked a friend if he didn`t have a 12 fpe platform for me. Every now and than i`m getting hit by some strange kind of HFT virus. Very often it gets me so far that i`m going to buy an airgun capable of doing 12 fpe but i have never done one HFT match in my life. And i`m not planning to do so. And in some perverted way i`m connecting HFT to Daystate.
Anyway, friend Marco came up with a Daystate X2 in parts. A box full of bits and chunks and a regulator. Awrite man, see what i`m gonna make of this one.
Here`s the X2.

Here`s the X2.
The trigger was a mix of BAM and Daystate parts. They`re look-a-likes but they don`t match. There was even a Falcon valvehousing in the box! A nice custom made hammer of considerable weight, three hammer springs and much more.
There`s only one picture of the X2 set up. After a few days Marco called me. He needed the X2 breech. "Don`cha wanna trade it for a Harrier breech?"
Why not.

The HFT-virus disappeared as fast as it came. What the hell, i`m gonna make a three calibre gun of this one. Hanzerschreck sold me a .25 barrel. The Noisy Bearded Mofo from Limbabwe came up with some .25 solids and along we went. The three calibre trick was performed bij a .25 brass bushing. The .177 and .22 barrel was modified in the way that the treshold between the .25 size opening in the brass bushing was eliminated bij making a sloped hole in the chamber of the .177 and .22 barrel. In .177 the Bastard preformed like a beast, in .22 the Bastard preformed good enough but in .25 is was slightly underpowered. So the Bastard didn`t live too long. Some bloke wanted it for a platform to make a .308. So along the Bastard went.
Here`s some pics of some features of the Daystate Bastard as i called it. The Bastard went to Rotterdam and is reborn. It`s a .308 and it`s name is the Royal Bastard. I shot it, a very nice gun, a short based hard hitting piece of iron. Great!
Some time later i got a word from Rotterdam, the Royal Bastard was for sale again. It was sold but the buyer butted out and gave the gun back. 'Don`t you want to buy the gun?' he asked. I would, i shot it once when it was a .309 and it was doing great. I bought it. It was kinda damaged, the breech was fucked up very badly, the action of the gun was dipped in some black kinda sludge. I bought a new breech for the Royal Bastard, but when it was deliverd the allignment of the probe made me weep of disappointment.
The gun got dismantled, the action went to Limbabwe (to the guy i bought it from earlier!), the barrel went somewhere else. There`s no Royal Bastard anymore and there will never be.

The .458
The .458 is a strange kinda piece of iron. The guy that designed it wanted the cocking lever and the bolt on the right site of the breech. Bad choice. Every time i cocked the gun i bumped in to the bolt and wounded my knuckles.
The lower end of this .458 is from a Daystate X2. It has the longer Daystate maintube. I traded this gun for my Air Arms S410 Xtra FAC. I had it for maybe two weeks when the phone rang. Marco recieved the word that i had this gun, he wanted it back. Some things are hard to refuse and a few years earlier i have asked him the same favor. My answer was something like 'what have you got for me then `ey?' He told me he had a .308 he`d offered to trade it for the .458. Awrite! That .308 became well known as the UZGOOB.
I don`t have too much to tell about this gun, exept it is very hard hitting. On the 50 meter track i`d hit anything i want with it. After two shots it was time for a refill.

Vlaaienkeizer/Hanzerschreck .308
The Vlaaienkeizer/Hanzerschreck .308 is built on a Daystate platform.Have you ever heard about people using the BAM B50/B51 as a platform for making a big bore? Anyway, this .308 has a Van Breen stock. The stock represents more value than a lot of complete airguns.
The reason i had this gun in da house for a few weeks was because it needed repair. I don`t mind repairing these special kinda guns because very often special guns pack special things. Just like this one.
I shot it pretty often at the range. This is a powerfull airgun. It packs some 200 fpe. The internal organs are all hand made bij Hanzerschreck. The brass barrelclamp and the brass bolt are hand made too. There`s not to much to tell about this gun, let`s enjoy some pictures.

A look at the inside.
Airguns travel all over the country and every now and then they`re crossing your path. So did the Vlaaienkeizer/Hanzerschreck .308 yesterday (8-4-16). The gun as presented in the pics above is a scruffy gun that shows it`s latent beauty when you take a good look. Rik, a bloke i got to know at the shooting range bought the gun sometime ago and boy did that gun look good! Rik put a lot of effort in the gun. The ugly holes in the breech are gone, the bolt has been replaced `cause the original one was worn, torn and crooked, the barrel got fitted with an airsplitter. The BOS scope makes this gun near perfect. Lotsa things got replaced. Enjoy the pictures, enjoy Rik`s effort.
Glover Daq 9 mm pistol
Hans, a bloke from the shoooting range, came to me with his new pistol. I saw a 2240 and started yawning like crazy. I don`t care too much for pistols and especially the 2240. When he told me this was no ordinairy 2240 i opened my wet eyes and saw this beautiful piece of machinery. Hans said the gun needed some attention. Looking through the barrel, from the breech side ofcourse, he saw an o ring peeping out of somewhere. 'Lemme take a look Hans' i speedily offered. I wanted to take this thing apart badly.
Caliber 9mm, barrel Length:
12 inches, fill pressure:
2000 psi, velocity: 525 fps (with a 77.1 grain eun jin pellet, it does a healthy 30 fpe and gives some 5 shots per fill. This pistols dates from 2009. The grips were made by Rick. Never in my life i`ve seen grips like these. Marvellous. There wasn`t all too much wrong with the gun. The transferport got folded somewhat. I didn`t replace it for one made of brass. The red transferport seemed like the original one and i am a strong believer of keeping things the way they once were. Hans, the current owner, got on the phone with Mister Quackenbush and he confirmed the red transferport made of very soft synthetic material. The soft transferport gives an airtight connection between breech and valve.
The transferport got back its optimal form and the gun is doing what it is supposed to do!
Dennis Quackenbush doesn`t know how many Crosmans he has made but there`s one way to tell if the big Q had anything to do with the gun. A barrel with 7 lands and grooves......
Another 9 mm Crosman based pistol. Fryslân&Spain United.
Jose from Spain sent me some Crosman parts, lots of barrels and stuff. If something could be made of it. Here is the result.
Sietse and yours truly got kinda enthousiastic. Like kids in a toy store ya know? Sietse took the box home.
In a serie of pictures you will see what came out o the box of Crosman parts.

A beer -a Hertog Jan- and a chunk of dry sausage and any Frysan`s life is worth while....
1875 POPE BROTHERS AIR PISTOL
Hans, the owner of the pistol describe above, came up to me and showed me a small air pistol. He told me the little pistol was some 150 years old. Curious as i am i grabbed the pistol from his hands. It is fully functional Hans told me.
This little airgun is designed by no one else than Henri M. Quackenbush in 1871, he got the patent in 1874. Pope Brothers got the right to produce the pistol in 1874.
The pistol is cocked by pulling the barrel forward. It provides enough space to put a pellet in the barrel. The gun however is designed as a target practicing pistol using darts. Pope Brothers made bicycles too and the pistol was used as a bicycle riders gun to keep nasty dogs away from the peddling feet of the bikers.
The pistol is oddly called the Pope Air Rifle Pistol. The reason for that is that this little gun was intented as a short range target pistol and was sold in a box with lots of extras. One of those extra`s was a steel rod to be used as a shoulder stock. In the back of the birds head stock is a hole in wich the shoulder stock rod can be attached.
Five bucks was the price for this cute little airgun, it was available in chrome/nickle finish then the price was $6.

The BRULBUKS 9 mm
The Brulbuks is a Spa M10 with a 9 mm Lothar Walther barrel. 'Brul' is Dutch for 'Roar' or 'Howl'. It was offered to me but it ended up with some bloke on the shooting range. Marco Knift is the man who did the work on this one and he did a great job. The Brulbuks had some wear, the gun was leaking like it was Korean made and the gun was drying your hair with every shot you took. I took care of that.
When the gun came to me it had a finish in some rubber-like substance. Two years ago i had a gun from the same owner in my hands and that guy must have some rubber-like substance fetish! It`s `orrible! It wears like crazy! Ina few weeks the rubber-like substance comes loose and sheets of rubber-like substance are hanging down from the barrel.
The pic below shows the gun in the R-LS (Rubber-like Substance ;) ) On the upper pic i have blueed the barrel after taking the R-LS off.

The powertune of the gun is nothing special. It`s just like every other PCP. See that there`s a big blast of compressed behind the bullet. Making the ports larger and the use of a light valve closing spring. That makes the valve easier to open and you do not need a very heave hammer spring. The man that made the inner parts of this gun knew what to do.
The gun spilled a lot of air during its firing cycle. There was one o ring on the beautifully constructed probe. The closing cycle of the bolt left some room to open a bit while the shot was fired and a big gush of wind blew in your face. The one o ring took off after some thirty shots. I took the gun home again and searched the world for a decent o ring. I found one but shooting at some 170 bar (2500 psi) some air started leaking again. I put an extra o ring on the rear end of the probe and after locking the gun that o ring provided a perfect airtight fit between the edge of the barrel and the thicker part on the probe.
BAM BAM! .22 LR and .223 Hanzerschreck! & the Koejak!
BAM gives a perfect platform for customizing skills. Here are two made by Hanzerschreck. Both with a slightly larger caliber. Dieter`s gun is fitted with a .22 LR barrel, mine is carries a .223 barrel. Both of `m are noisy.
I have been a BAM fan for some time. I had lots of `m. The one i got most recently was one that was about to end up in the waste, the owner asked me if i wanted it. Sure man. Always! I had a Hatsan .25 barrel lying around, i dropped it in the BAM and gave it some extra HP and the gun is performing brilliantly. It`s the Koejak i`m talking about.
It`s ugly tho`.

The .22 HanzerBAM is a pretty gun. It`s been well taken care of. It looks like a new gun. It is made very beautifull too.
The .223 Hanzerschreck has had a tougher life. In the test fase i became obvious the gun was consuming o rings like crazy. Hanzerschreck made a probe with a cone to make it airtight. Somewhere along the way that probe got replaced by a probe made by Big Bore Broossie. A great attempt but the gun is chowing down o rings again like crazy. Well, we`ll see ..... I have been shooting it yesterday, some decent groups appeared but because of the inconsistency of the gun because of the leaking o ring on the probe it had some flyers. I shot the gun at the Noarderloft gunrange over here in Fryslân at some 100 meter. Dropped the working pressure of the gun from 180 bar to some 150. I hate guns spilling compressed air.
Cees`s Blue Benchrest .25
Cees is a friend who oughtta be cheered on a daily basis for the great creations he made. Cees worked in anonimity while he should`ve let the world know what he made. But he didn`t. In fact he sometimes sold his creations for a measly buck before the guns were finished and before he even shot `em. Cees is well known for the few shots he did when he was shooting. One time he succeeded in doing 25 shots in a row. He was exhausted when the last shot was fired, so the story goes.....
One of the guys that came up with the HuMa regulator made the hardware on this gun. Cees made the stock, underneath the blue lacquer there`s a red-grey-ish laminated piece of wood.
The stainless steel bolt.
It needs no explanation how the bolt is closed tight and shut.
Below a picture of the shroud.
This gun is travelling through the Netherlands. I had it lying around on the attic after having taken care of some minor flaws. The gun lost it`s air supply in a day or two. I gave the gun some new o rings. I hadn`t touched it for some seven months and when i shot it it made clear it hadn`t lost one breath of air.
The current owner is selling the gun, i can`t afford the gun tho` i`d love to own it (a year after i traded the Blue Benchrest for a Logun S16s. I still own the gun).
I have shot it some 500 times in the weeks after i took care of it. The range where i am shooting has an indoor 100 meter track, groupings of this .25 airgun are fine.
Cees decided the gun needed a flashy colour. Ha gave the stock a flashy colour indeed. Never before i saw paintwork like this!

Seeing the outdoors it looks like it has got eternal dew on it, you`re almost scared to touch it.
The Blue Benchrest has some Daystate DNA. The maintube and the trigger are from Daystate.
I consider this airgun a work of art eventhough the stock handles not to great for the purpose i am using an airgun for. The stock is ment for benchresting.
The Green Hornet HW98
Marcello turned up with this modified HW98. A Victory of Bad Taste for as far as i am concerned. I think the gun is butt ugly but the gun is well made.
Take a look.
Take a look.
Some guy at the Dutch Airgunboard chromeplated the HW98 and i suppose he painted the stock in this green colour.
The mystery gun
Western Galaxy in .25
Some tie ago this man from the US contacted me about this gun. He wanted to know if i knew what it is. I do not know but it has some well known feature. The cocking looks like it`s from a Shinssung, the magazine looks like something made by Evanix. This gun was introduced at the Houston Shot Show in 1993 and was bought from te Beman collection. There`s a manual with the gun that shows a Korean adress on it, but that does not solve the problem.
